Today we’re taking a look at the new Techwool Flannel shirt from Western Rise. This is more of a quick hands on review and first impressions. I have the size small in the black colour. My first impression is that it fits very well. Especially compared to some of the older Western Rise shirts that I’ve tried in the past. The material is very soft and smooth too. It keeps the warmth in and is very stretchy. It has a 2 way stretch built in.
It is a little on the higher end of the price spectrum coming in at $119 USD or $176 AUD. It’s quite unlike any regular flannel shirt you’re used to. It comes in a solid black or a solid white. Whereas usually flannels are patterned. This is a wonderfully comfortable and practical shirt for travel.
It’s particularly good for layering given that you can wear it in many styles. As a light jacket or with sleeves rolled up. Overall a great shirt from Western Rise and I’d highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the market for a new layering piece.
